07/15/2013: Assailants threw an explosive device at the husband of a Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate near a polling station in Jamuria area, Burdwan district, West Bengal state, India. The husband, Sheikh Hasmat, was killed in the explosion. No group claimed responsibility for the attack; however, one assailant was killed when onlookers retaliated.
