Incident Summary:

07/15/2013: An explosive device, targeting solar powered street lights, detonated in Al Baraka neighborhood, Hodan district, Mogadishu city, Banaadir region, Somalia. Three solar powered street lights were destroyed by the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab and stated that they have targeted the lights before because they were opposed to their installation which would increase public safety in the area.
