07/16/2013: Gunmen attacked an army checkpoint in Baiji city, Saladin governorate, Iraq. Two soldiers and four gunmen were killed in the ensuing gunfight. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities identified one of the assailants as an Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) member.
