07/17/2013: Two gunmen on a motorcycle attacked Wali Jan Taheri in Karokh town, Herat province, Afghanistan. Taheri, a public prosecutor and brother of the Afghan National Security Adviser, was killed in the attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
