Incident Summary:

07/24/2013: Assailants attacked an Iraqi Army checkpoint and a joint army-police convoy in Al Anbar, Iraq. At least four assailants were killed and four soldiers and one assailant were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources speculated that the attack was carried out by Al Qa'ida in Iraq in an attempt to free one of their members.
