07/31/2013: Assailants abducted Sumat Usendi, cousin of the Chhattisgarh Forests Minister, from his home in Sulangi, India. The attackers shot and killed the victim shortly after his abduction. Maoists claimed responsibility for the incident, claiming in a note left at the scene that Usendi was a police informer.
