08/01/2013: A roadside bomb detonated when a civilian vehicle struck it in Maiwand district, Kandahar province, Afghanistan. At least seven people were killed and another three were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, officials attributed the attack to the Taliban.
