08/21/2013: Gunmen opened fire on a vehicle carrying Colonel Ali Al-Hadi in Aden city, Adan governorate, Yemen. Al-Hadi, a top-ranking intelligence official, and his son were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
