08/22/2013: A roadside bomb detonated near General Abdul Samad's convoy in Farah city, Farah province, Afghanistan. Samad, the chief of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), was not harmed in the attack; however, at least one civilian was killed and 15 more people were injured in the blast. The Taliban claimed responsibility for this attack.
