08/31/2013: A roadside bomb blast targeted the vehicle of Ali Abtidon Halane in Shalanbot district, Lower Shebelle region, Somalia. Halane, the Director of the Somali Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Security, was unharmed; however, an unknown number of people were killed or wounded. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspect that Al-Shabaab was behind the attack.
