Incident Summary:

09/01/2013: Approximately seven gunmen stormed the home of the village chair and abducted him in Chingmei village, Khoupum valley, Manipur state, India. The assailants left the chair, Nailing Kamei, outside of a school early on September 2, 2013. Kamei was shot and beaten, but he survived the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the kidnapping; however, witnesses attributed the incident to Zeliangrong United Front.
