09/02/2013: Assailants abducted Mohamed Abyad from Sejou village, Aleppo governorate, Syria. Abyad, who worked for Doctors Without Borders, was found dead on September 3, 2013. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
