Incident Summary:

09/09/2013: An assailant fired upon Dmitry Vishernyov and his wife in an unknown location in Abkhazia republic, Georgia. Vishnyov, a Russian Embassy first secretary in the republic, was killed in the assault while his wife died in the hospital on September 14, 2013. An unexploded homemade bomb was also discovered at the scene. No group claimed responsibility for the attack; however, authorities detained an individual on September 19, 2013, in connection with the assault.
