09/20/2013: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at a Yemeni Army checkpoint in Azzan, Shabwah governorate, Yemen. At least 10 soldiers were killed and an unknown number of others were injured. This was one of four attacks in Shabwah on this day, all of which were claimed by Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
