09/26/2013: Assailants opened fire and hurled grenades at an administrative police post in Mandera city, Mandera county, Kenya. At least two police officers were killed and three were injured in the attack; furthermore, at least 11 vehicles sustained damage. Al-Shabaab, claimed responsibility for the incident, and stated that attacks would continue until Kenyan troops withdrew from Somalia.
