Incident Summary:

10/06/2013: Assailants opened fire on a German security guard in front of the al-Jandoul Supermarket in the Hadda district of Sanaa city, Amanat Al Asimah governorate, Yemen. The security guard, who worked for the German Embassy, was killed in the attack. Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that they were attempting to kidnap the victim and killed him when he resisted.
