Incident Summary:

10/14/2013: A suicide bomber in an explosive-laden vehicle attempted to attack Afghan security forces in Gardez city, Paktia province, Afghanistan. This was one of two attacks involving this assailant in Gardez on this day. In this incident, police opened fire on the assailant before he could detonate his explosives. The attacker was injured and taken to a nearby hospital, where the second attack occurred. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents.
