10/23/2013: Assailants abducted 26 people in Upira, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The victims, who included the chair of Upira and his family, were taken to Makembi and Tshutshubo. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
