11/26/2013: Assailants kidnapped Turkish journalist Bunyamin Aygun in Idlib governorate, Syria. Bunyamin Aygun escaped unharmed on January 5th, 2014. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the kidnapping to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
