12/08/2013: An explosive device attached to a vehicle detonated in Madain area, Diyala governorate, Iraq. The owner of the vehicle, a military officer, was killed in the blast. This was one of 12 coordinated attacks in, and within 30 kilometers of, Baghdad city on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources speculated that Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was involved.
