12/21/2013: Assailants threw two explosive devices at a rickshaw carrying Bappaditya Basu in Shahbagh neighborhood, Dhaka city, Dhaka division, Bangladesh. At least four people, including Basu, president of Chhatra Maitree, were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspect that Jamaat-E-Islami (Bangladesh) was behind the attack.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
