12/26/2013: Assailants abducted Alen Henning, a British worker with One Nation, from an aid convoy in al Dana town, Aleppo governorate, Syria. Video of Henning's beheading was released on October 3, 2014. Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the kidnapping, stating Henning was killed because Great Britain had joined the coalition of countries banding against ISIL.
