Incident Summary:

01/02/2014: Assailants ambushed a military convoy near the town of Beni, North Kivu province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Colonel Mamadou Ndala, the Congolese commander in charge of military operations, was killed in the attack, along with three other soldiers. Additionally, eight soldiers were injured. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
