Incident Summary:

01/28/2014: Assailants opened fire on a police convoy in Batachipur, Assam state, India. At least two police officers, including Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gulzar Hussain, were killed, and at least six police constables were wounded as a result of the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed it to the Sonbijit faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).
