Incident Summary:

02/02/2014: Assailants attacked an African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) convoy in Afmadow city, Lower Juba region, Somalia. The convoy was made up of Kenyan forces. Five people were killed and an unknown number were wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
