02/07/2014: An explosive device detonated near a police checkpoint in Giza, Cairo, Giza, Egypt. This was one of two bombings that occurred only minutes apart in this area. The blasts injured six police officers and damaged a police vehicle. Ajnad Misr claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that the attack was in retaliation for operations carried out by security forces.
