Incident Summary:

02/22/2014: A suicide bomber driving an explosives-laden vehicle detonated at a Lebanese Army checkpoint on Al-Assi Bridge at the entrance to Hermel city, Beqaa governorate, Lebanon. In addition to the bomber, three people, including one civilian, were killed and at least 15 people, including several civilians, were injured. Both the Al Nusra Front in Lebanon, as sub-group of Al Nusra Front, and the Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was in response to Hezbollah involvement in Syria.
