03/06/2014: Assailants attacked a village in Katsina Ala local government area, Benue state, Nigeria. This was one of two villages in Katsina Ala attacked on this date. At least five people were killed across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that Fulani militants were involved.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
