03/16/2014: Assailants attacked Zeki Karakus, a Justice and Development Party (AKP) candidate in Van, Turkey. Karakus and four other party members were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
