04/01/2014: Assailants abducted Khasim Ruivah and his son in Litan zone, Ukhrul district, Manipur state, India. Ruviah, the former education minister, and his son were released the following day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM)'s Wung Tangkhul region sub-group.
