04/16/2014: Assailants abducted Serhiy Lefter in Slaviansk city, Donetsk oblast, Ukraine. Lefter, a Ukrainian journalist and independent observer for the Open Dialogue Foundation, was released on May 6, 2014. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the abduction to the Donetsk People's Republic.
