Incident Summary:

04/25/2014: Assailants abducted eight Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) observers and four Ukrainian military escorts near Sloviansk town, Donetsk oblast, Ukraine. One victim was released on April 27, 2014 due to health problems and the remaining 11 were released on May 3, 2014. The Donetsk People's Republic claimed responsibility for the incident.
