Incident Summary:
04/26/2014: Assailants opened fire on a Doctors Without Borders clinic as a meeting was taking place with local officials in Nanga Boguila district, Ouham-Pende prefecture, Central African Republic. At least 18 people were killed and 12 others were wounded in the attack. This was one of two attacks carried out by the Seleka in Nanga Boguila district on April 26, 2014. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Seleka.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
