04/27/2014: Assailants abducted Julia Carabias in the Lacandon Jungle in Ocosingo district, Chiapas state, Mexico. Carabias, a member of Natura Y Ecosistemas Mexicanos A.C., was released two days later. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
