05/10/2014: Assailants attacked a military base in Ayn al-Jahsh area, Nineveh governorate, Iraq. At least 20 soldiers were kidnapped; they were found dead later the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
