Incident Summary:
05/11/2014: A suicide bomber in an explosives-laden vehicle detonated at a Central Security Organization building in Jawl al-Mashah area, Mukalla city, Hadramawt governorate, Yemen. In addition to the bomber, at least 11 people, including civilians, were killed and 15 others were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
