05/14/2014: Assailants abducted a local chief and his family in Anduala, Haut-Uele district, Orientale province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The victims were rescued by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) later that day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the kidnapping to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
