Incident Summary:

05/31/2014: Assailants opened fire on residents and threw petrol bombs at buildings in Gula village, Borno state, Nigeria. This was one of three coordinated attacks on villages in this area on May 31, 2014. At least 42 people were killed, 16 others were wounded and an unknown number of buildings were damaged across attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
