06/25/2014: An explosive device was discovered and defused at the Cairo Metro station in Hilmiyat al-Zaytun neighborhood, Cairo city, Cairo governorate, Egypt. This was one of five bombings targeting metro stations on the same day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Muslim Brotherhood. However, the Muslim Brotherhood denied any involvement in the incidents.
