Incident Summary:

07/07/2014: Assailants attacked the Saint Joseph Cathedral in Bambari town, Ouaka prefecture, Central African Republic. The church was being used as a shelter for Christian refugees at the time of the attack. At least 26 people were killed and ten others were wounded in the violence. Although Seleka initially claimed responsibility for the attack, they later rescinded their claim. Despite the group's denial of involvement, sources continued to attribute the incident to Seleka.
