07/27/2014: A female suicide bomber was intercepted by authorities and then detonated explosives outside a university in Kano city, Kano state, Nigeria. The suicide bomber was killed and five police officers were wounded in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
