08/03/2014: Assailants abducted two people from barangay Kaunayan, Sulu province, Philippines. One of the hostages was released unharmed on August 4, 2014. The whereabouts of the second hostage are unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
