Incident Summary:
08/15/2014: Assailants attacked a military position in Ayod district, Jonglei state, South Sudan. This was one of two attacks in Ayod district on August 15, 2014. In addition to 120 assailants, six soldiers were killed and 11 others were wounded across attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Sudan People's Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO).

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
