09/02/2014: A land mine detonated after it was struck by a vehicle carrying United Nations (UN) Chadian peacekeepers in Kidal district, Kidal region, Mali. Four peacekeepers were killed and 15 others were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, a source attributed the attack to Muslim fundamentalists.
