09/09/2014: An explosive device detonated targeting the vehicle of a Somali-United States (US) advisor to Ahmed Madobe in Kismayo city, Lower Juba region, Somalia. Madobe is the president of the Juba Interim Administration (JIA). The outcome of the attack is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that Al-Shabaab was involved.
