Incident Summary:

09/21/2014: Assailants attacked the convoy of Mir Yaqub Balkatari in Balkatar town, Balochistan province, Pakistan. At least 11 people, including Balkatari, a local chieftain, were killed in the assault. Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that Balkatari was targeted because the group believed he was involved in involved in drug trafficking, kidnapping, robberies, and espionage of the BLF.
