Incident Summary:

10/01/2014: Assailants abducted Maher al-Ammatouri from Wadi Hmeid area, Beqaa governorate, Lebanon. Al-Ammatouri, a stone dealer, was released unharmed on October 2, 2014. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that it kidnapped al-Ammatouri in order to gain information regarding the movements of Lebanese military forces in Arsal.
