Incident Summary:

11/24/2014: Assailants opened fire on a market in Damasak town, Borno state, Nigeria. Over 50 people were killed, an unknown number of people were injured, and buildings and shops were set on fire. In addition, there were reports that as many as 500 people were kidnapped in the attack, although these have not been substantiated. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
