11/24/2014: Assailants abducted Loise Njoki Weru and James Kuria from an unknown location in central Somalia. Kuria was rescued in February 2016, and Weru was rescued on October 29, 2016. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that Al-Shabaab carried out the attack.
