12/05/2014: Assailants opened fire on a police party in Srinagar city, Jammu and Kashmir state, India. At least two assailants were killed and two police officers were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
